Are you researching German-speaking
ancestors? Would you like to start, but don't know where to begin or have you
reached a 'brick wall' or just want to share information? Join JGSGB and take
full advantage of all we have to offer, such as meetings of the German SIG.
Novices, intermediate and experienced researchers are all welcome at the German
Special Interest Group of the Jewish Genealogical Society of Great Britain.

Jeanette Rosenberg
About this SIG:
Like our sister Special Interest Group at JewishGen, GERSIG, our coverage
includes other German-speaking areas such as Austria, parts of Switzerland,
Alsace, Lorraine, Bohemia and Moravia.
The JGSGB German Special Interest Group was formed several years ago but has
really come of age over the last two years or so and now has just over 70 members, many of whom attend meetings regularly.
Do you want to join and have you any ideas for meetings, speakers and
activities? Do get in contact, as we are now organising our programme for next
year.
If you would like to find out more about the Group, please get in touch by
Email -
because new members are always welcome! Remember you don't have to attend
meetings or to live in London to be a member!
Whether you want to volunteer or only want to share information, do get in
touch.
New German Sig UK members are always welcome at meetings - but if you intend
bringing someone who is not a JGSGB member, please let Jeanette know in advance!
One of the most important things we want to do is to collect ideas for a
worthwhile forward programme of guest speakers and activities etc. Emails from
anyone with advice or ideas to offer are always most welcome.
Please see Programme Diary for future meetings
Further information about this research is covered
exclusively in the Members Only pages of the JGSGB website
