LDS microfilms of Poland

For a database of LDS microfilms of Jewish records in Poland, based on geographic coordinates, see JewishGen's LDS Microfilm Master at http://www.jewishgen.org/databases/ldsdist.htm

For a downloadable list of LDS microfilms of Jewish records from Poland, arranged alphabetically, in various data formats, see the Jewish Records Indexing - Poland pages at http://www.jewishgen.org/jri-pl/jri-lds.htm

Since there has been no LDS microfilming in the Polish State Archives since 1991,  these lists won't have changed much in recent years.

For general information about Jewish vital records in Poland, see

Polish church records - Jewish entries

In the Kingdom of Poland (also known as Congress Poland or Russian Poland), Jews were listed in separate registers from 1826 onwards.  Before that, beginning in 1808 or 1810, depending on the region, vital records for Jews were included in the Roman Catholic civil registers.  No Jews were included in parish registers.
