Pam Fox will be talking about her new book, which explores the 90-year history of the legendary Blooms as it evolved from a modest neighbourhood café and take-away store, supplied by a small-scale butchery, became an internationally famous restaurant, operating in tandem with a national manufacturer and wholesaler and eventually closed in 2010. The talk will focus on the ‘cast of characters’ who ran and worked for the firm, and its customers.

About Pam Fox
Pam Fox is a full-time author specialising in Jewish history. Several of her books published in the last ten years have been based largely on oral history interviews that have produced rich and engaging narratives, including her highly successful book on the history of the Jewish community of Golders Green. Pam is also the recipient of the JGSGB Susser award in 2022 for best publication.
After the talk, there will be an opportunity for Q&A on the talk. We will then take a 15 minute tea break, followed by an Anglo-Jewish workshop where you may share your successes and brick walls and ask any questions you might have.
