Hari Jonkers will explain about the work they do at the Centre to collect personal papers of Holocaust survivors and their descendants who have a connection to the North of England, in order to safeguard them and make them accessible for education and research. This living archive is continually expanding and they are developing the collections through Homeward Bound, a project to preserve, catalogue and digitise these precious materials.

Head of Archives at Holocaust Centre North and grandchild of a Holocaust survivor, Hari Jonkers' professional background is in archives and she joined Holocaust Centre North as the charity’s first archivist in 2021.
