About Saul Marks
Saul was born in Chester in 1980, the son of London Jews who had left the city for work 13 years before. A good education included a psychology degree from Durham University, followed by various postgraduate studies leading to aborted careers in teaching and archives! Genealogy became a passion as a pre-teen and he founded Brother's Wish Genealogy Service in 2003. He joined Celtic Research as a regional case manager in 2008, leaving in 2018 for a brief spell at rivals Harrisons Research, before founding his own firm, Origin Probate, in 2019.
.
He has been a member of Liverpool Old Hebrew Congregation (aka Princes Road shul) since 1991 and was, in 2006, its youngest elected warden since 1872. In 2017, he became its youngest elected Senior Warden since 1884, and subsequently served as chairman from 2018-22.
.
After the talk, there will be an opportunity for Q&A on the talk. We will then take a 15 minute tea break, followed by an Anglo-Jewish workshop where you may share your successes and brick walls and ask any questions you might have.
.
The invitation to register is below, but please keep it to yourself!
