Eastern European SIG

This is a Special Interest Group for those with family from Eastern Europe, much of which formerly was part of the Russian or Austro-Hungarian Empires before 1918: these included modern-day Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine, Belarus, Hungary and Romania.

In addition, presentations for this SIG will often cover genealogy in the United States, Canada, Australia and South Africa, all of which had large Jewish populations from across Eastern Europe.
